行走不一樣的路 Different way different experience

喜歡接近大自然，可是又不喜歡走一節一節的階梯步道？覺得走階梯很累很喘？

You like nature but you don't like staircase in trail ? Feel tired with it ?  

那讓我介紹你一個在阿里山很好走又浪漫的的步道吧！

那就是水山步道啦！

Let me introduce you a trail in Ahlishan that is very romantic and easy to walk.

Shuishan Trail  

水山步道是以前鐵軌留下來的步道，一路上是平坦的鐵路。

Shuishan trail origins from train railway, so the trail is flat. 

黑白的對照，反映出不同感覺的鐵軌步道。

Black and white contrast, reflects different sense of the railway trails.

 走在鐵軌形成的步道，欣賞一路上的風景，花朵，樹林， 而且不會覺得累哦！

山水巨木是那裏的焦點..

Go sightseeing and look around, you will see the beauty of flowers and plants in the area.  

Shuishan Giant  Tree is the focus in the area. 

你還可以學我們在水山巨木前盡情跳躍！

You also can JUMP in front of the Shuishan Giant Tree! Let's JUMP～～

Hey guys!!! What are you doing? What are you waiting for?? I have a special gift for youuu!

Kindly be noted that what I am going to do is not advertising! It is not also the calling or drawing someone coming with us. What I do is, not a big deal, just a normal sharing of a little foreign girl for the first time coming to Alishan, to Taiwan. I also do not want to describe too much, because in my opinion, nothing can capture the beauty of Alishan better than seeing in real. @-@

                                       "Peaceful landscape"

The first feeling I had with Alishan is the “feeling of PEACE”. In Alishan, what you see is not crowded street or skyscrapers, but is an amazing rhythm of forest. It is the concert with the sound of birds, of streams and animals here. If you are tired with treadmill of life and need somewhere which is quieter side of the city to find yourself and to fuel for your life, Alishan is truly the best choice!!

                                                     Montbretia - Ye gan chang pu

The nature gives Alishan a huge prefer with an extremely rich ecological system. Staying here for more than 1 week , I still can not remember how many types of plans, flowers and animals that I have seen and learned, but if someone intents to come here this season when I write this note, it is the paradise of “Montbretia” (in Chinese is “Ye gan chang pu”- I don’t know that is right or not @@) – a type of flower with orange color will satisfy your eyes. Someone said that Alishan is a miniature of Japan. Any Japanese characteristics you all can see in Alishan. They are Cypress, cedars, Maples and especially many many kinds of cherry blossoms – the symbol of Japan.

I am so lucky that I had the opportunity to see the sunrise in the first morning I came to Alishan and that is one of the most fascinating sceneries which I have seen in my life. 

                                                              Fascinating sunrise !!!

I wish I were a poet or a musician that I could describe my feeling with this beautiful place, because I know it is thousand times worthier than these words.

一日之計在於晨 (Beauty of Sunrise in Alishan)

淩晨三點拖著疲累的身軀起床梳洗，步行到阿里山火車站乘搭森林小火車到祝山火車站去。淩晨三點的天氣真的好冷，可是已經有很多遊客準備搭火車觀日去。坐了大概三十分鐘的火車終于到達祝山車站了。之後再徒步到小笠原山觀景台欣賞日出之美。

可能有些人會說: 哎呀!日出哪裏都會有啊!阿里山的日出有那麽特別嗎?

那讓我告訴你阿里山日出有什麽特別吧!

淩晨坐著森林火車去觀日,特別吧? 

一邊坐火車一邊感受吹來的清新涼風再聼聼火車裏播放的民族音樂,

還沒看到日出就已經很享受了!^_^

We woke up in the early morning 3am with our exhausted body, walk from our dorm to Ahlishan train station. The whether is very cold, but have a lots of tourist already there to take a train to Zhushan (祝山) train station.  Most of them have same destination and same objective of see the beautiful sunrise. We arrive to Zhushan (祝山) station  after around 30 minutes. After that we walk a short distance to Ogasawara Mountain Viewing Lot  (小笠原山)to see the beauty of sunrise. 

Some people will said : What is so special about sunrise in Ahlishan? We can see sunrise everywhere, but not only in Ahlishan.

Ok..Lets me tell you what is so special about sunrise in Alishan!

Early in the morning take forest train to see sunrise.. It is special ?

Feel the wind blowing and listen to traditional music in the train, it will be an enjoyment for you !

太陽還沒出來之時，雲彩已經被太陽光照得紅彤彤的．

太陽快要出來了，來觀日的我們都好緊張，好期待它的出現．

 We are so excited and we are awaiting for the arrival of sunrise ~~

我們期待許久的太陽公公出來咯！

That is the sun that we waiting for so long.. 

太陽仿佛在我的手裏發光，它很刺眼，可是又讓人忍不住多看幾眼！

Hohoo~~The sun is in my hand.. Is shinning !!

We are so lucky because according to senior volunteer beautiful sunrise will not appear everyday!

Can you guess the meaning of shadow in this picture? We will have shadow if there is light. 

So of course we need to take picture of our shadow as memory in this place. ^_^ 

大樹遮住了太陽，可是那裏的白雲，高山，雲海和藍天的搭配還是一樣的美．

The scene after sunrise, the tree cover up the sun. 

But combination of cloud, mountains, sea of cloud, blue sky still remain beautiful.

       I love what I do because I do what I love. When I set out to do something, It is not because of what I do is going to change the world or save someone's life. It is too big with me, with a small girl from a small country. Someone will said that I'm selfish. YES. I am. The problem is not that I'm selfish. The problem is what I do meet which I want and dream. Because I believe that only following your heart that you can find yourself and have plenty of opportunities to help the others.


           And now,  I am in the trip which helps me to see the world and fulfill my responsibilities with my life. Let's see what I can do with my life in amazing and beautiful TAIWAN by following this post!!

Hello from Malaysia..

Hi everybody, I am Pei Shan from Malaysia. 

Very happy that i can be in Taiwan with you guys. Great to know you all in Taiwan. 

This volunteer project will be my final internship for graduated.

I use to stay in city and seldom exercise and get close to nature due to load of work in 

university like thesis, study, homework. Now this is the best opportunity for me to get close to nature and do something for the nature and environment.

As a graduate of human development, 

i think that human and environment has a close relationship that cannot be separated from each other.

 But now a days human more concentrated in material development and economic development. 

Society seem like forgot about environment protection  that can ensure healthy lifestyle for human.  

Lets protect our forest and environment, so that our next generation also can  enjoy the beauty of nature.
